A Valentine's Day Wedding for Nault and Stricklin
- Bride: Danielle Stricklin
- Groom: Paul Michael Nault
- Parents: Dan & Doris Stricklin and Dennis & Debbie Nault, all of Clarkston.
- Wedding date: February 14, 2011
Paul Michael Nault, 26, and fiancee Danielle Stricklin, 27, both of West Bloomfield, will exchange vows in a Valentine's Day-themed ceremony today at Victoria Wedding Chapel in Waterford.
Nault, an Oakland County Sheriff's deputy for four years, and Stricklin, a medical records clerk, have known each other since high school; together, they have a three-year-old daughter, Mackenzie Grace.
"We're just going to have a small wedding," said Nault's father, Dennis Nault, also an Oakland County Sheriff's deputy who patrolled Oakland Township until retiring yesterday.
He said about 25 people are expected to attend the wedding, though there will be a larger reception this summer.
The Nault-Stricklin wedding will have a Valentine's Day theme with the bride dressed in a black gown and holding a red bouquet; the groom will be dressed in a black suit and red shirt. Three-year-old Mackenzie will be wearing a red dress.
"It's very beautiful," Dennis said of the wedding venue. "That's where my daughter got married."
