Disruptions to ONTV Programming Expected Starting Tuesday

  • January 29, 2012

Orion Neighborhood Television is starting the final stage of its technical change over to its new location at the Orion Center on Joslyn Road.

Due to this change over all access channels (Comcast and AT&T U-Verse) will be off air for a period of time beginning on Tuesday. The period of disruption could be as long as two weeks, depending on the installation schedules of Comcast Cablevision and AT&T.

ONTV is working to keep programming on the air as long as possible, but not at full capacity. The following programming disruptions will take place beginning on Tuesday:

  • Lake Orion Community Schools Educational Access Channel 22: School Board meetings will not be carried live to the community until further notice. Meetings will continue to be available for viewing On-Demand at www.orionontv.org and available to be checked out on DVD at the Orion Township Public Library two to three days after the scheduled meeting date. In addition, the LOCS electronic message board will be off air until further notice.  Program feeds from Lake Orion High School will be off air until further notice as well.
  • Government Access Channel 20: Orion Township and Village of Lake Orion meetings will not be carried live to the community until further notice. Meetings will continue to be available for viewing On-Demand at www.orionontv.org and available to be checked out on DVD at the Orion Township Public Library two to three days after the scheduled meeting date. The government message board will be off air until further notice and government meeting replays may be off air during the change over.
  • Public Access Channel 10: Regular programming may be off air while ONTV’s playback system is changed over.  Public Access message board will be off air until further notice.

ONTV is working with Comcast Cablevision and AT&T to expedite this change over and will keep the community up to date on its progress. Please visit www.orionontv.org or call (248) 693-3377 if you have any questions.
