'Grandma' Jenny Acree Celebrates 85th Birthday Today
Jenny "Grandma" Acree was born 85 years ago today in Detroit and grew up in Troy. Now, Acree spends her days behind the counter of the Paint Creek Market in Goodison.

Dorothy Jenny Acree (known to most customers who visit the Paint Creek Market in Goodison as "Grandma") is celebrating her 85th birthday today.
She was born on July 8, 1926 in Detroit and grew up near Rochester and Big Beaver roads area in Troy. She married George T. Acree on September 3, 1943.
Grandma enjoys spending time with her children, George T. (Penny) Acree of Rochester, Bo (Karen) Acree of Oakland Township, Ellen (Mike) Oliver of Livonia and Gaile (Brady) Vibert of West Bloomfield; her 10 grandchildren; and her 13 great-grandchildren.
She also enjoys greeting customers at the Paint Creek Market and playing bingo with her friends. Please join us in wishing Grandma a very happy birthday!
