Township Seeks Volunteers for Curamus Terram Event

The Curamus Terram event is only a couple days away, and the township is asking for help.
"We are looking for volunteers to help with the race on Saturday," race organizer Terry Dibble wrote on the event's Facebook page. "If you know someone that is willing to help, have them report to the Oakland Townsip offices on Saturday at 8 a.m. and we will assign them a job."
Curamus Terram, which translates to "Care Takers of the Earth," features a kids 1/2-mile run, 5k run, 10k run and 13.1-mile half marathon. Participants may register online at www.goracego.com or in-person on the day of the race.

Hmm (puts on spectacles, takes some snuff) -- "caretakers of the earth", literally translated, would be "curatores terrae". "Curamus terram" literally rendered is "We take care of the earth".
