A 43-year-old Orion Township man was charged Oct. 31 with one count of indecent exposure in connection with an earlier incident at the Baldwin Road Kroger store.

Troy Robertz turned himself in and was later released on $2,000 personal bond. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office was aided in identifying him by his Kroger card, which he used to make a purchase Oct. 18 after allegedly exposing himself to several women in the store.

Robertz is due back in court Nov. 20 before Judge Lisa Asadoorian.

Marijuana growing alleged

Sheriff’s deputies responding to a complaint of a neighbor banging on a door on Canary Hill Nov. 2 were informed of the neighbor’s a marijuana-growing operation.

Seven potted plants, grow lights, seeds, pipes, a scale and several containers of marijuana were confiscated from a mobile home. The owner, a 37-year-old man, told a deputy he did not have a medical marijuana card and was growing the plants for personal use.

No one was arrested, but a warrant is being sought. Because a 10-year-old girl lives in the home, a referral was made for child neglect.

No injuries in house fire

No one was injured when a chimney caught fire in the 1500 block of Nancy G. in Orion Township Nov. 2. An investigator called to the scene determined that the fire was accidental.

Business broken into

Employees at a roofing company on Brown Road reported a break-in and property damage Nov. 1.

The business had been closed for several days when returning employees noticed that a truck in their parking lot had been moved and a second truck extensively damaged. The back door of the building was open, the door broken off, and a third truck parked inside was missing some equipment. Several nail guns were among the missing items.
