For three hours on Sunday morning, northern Rochester Hills transformed into a race course as 4,500 runners and walkers braved the trails and hills of the Brooksie Way.

And along with the runners were hundreds of well wishers scattered along the 13.1-mile race route. Crowds included residents along the route, students, church groups, Rochester Lions Club members and other organizations. Some spectators held up signs, many cheered, and a few, including the Adams High School Marching Band, even serenaded runners with live music.

It was the fifth year for Oakland County's scenic half marathon and 5K event.

Shane Logan, 34, of Clarkston won the half-marathon event with a time of 1:13:15. Logan won the race last year, too. Ryan Beck, 20, of Royal Oak, was second with a time of 1:14:51.

Leah Foley, 35, of Clarkston was the first-place half marathon female finisher with a time of 1:22:19. Brooksie fans likely remember Foley from her marriage proposal finish last year, when she was Leah Scharl.

Tammy Nowik, 38, of Clarkston was second with a time of 1:25:20.

Here is a complete look at the race results.
