Patch should not have allowed a candidate to put this info in the Patch. The League is non-partisan and therefore does not endorse candidates. Christ USED the Patch to get a free political ad.

Let's replace a career politician who may think he's above the law with a committed career civil servant that will represent the people of her county. Out with Bouchard, in with Boudreau! Spread the word and let's get a crook out of law enforcement!

The current Sheriff Bouchard thinks he can get away with discrimination. The latest example occurred during the Dream Cruise. In the Cities of Royal Oak and Ferndale, Deputies were dispatched to investigate, identify and arrest if need be, unruly patrons. In Pontiac, after an alleged "tip" that there was a fight in progress, the Sheriff dispatched his long-time friend and Deputy Pilot in the Sheriff's helicopter to "break up the crowd." No arrests were made. There were over 200 people on the ground who have stated there were no disturbances anywhere in the areas. The pilot flew approx. 50' above ground and send kids to the hospital with injuries. Several classic cars and other property was damaged. Patrons dove for cover in fear of their safety. The FAA regulations prohibit flying below a 500' deck, and the FAA is currently investigating the matter. So, in any other City but Pontiac, standard policy is followed by dispatching Deputies to investigate, identify and arrest if necessary. If this isn't classic and destructive discrimination, what is? The discriminatory and damaging stunt at the Dream Cruise is COSTING the OC taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. In any economy, this is unforgivable. For any City or County, this is embarrassing - a runaway train wreck of a Sheriff.

The crowds knew they were to have dispersed by 10:30 pm. This has nothing to do with discrimination. If there were a crowd at 15 and Woodward, same thing would have happened but the crowds had left that area as instructed. Why is it always black v. white with so many of you?

Jane Boudrea is a disgrace. She has been fired by two police departments and a private security firm. She owes back income taxes to the State of Michigan in an amount over $21,000. You can verfiy this via tax LEINS posted on the internet-public records. She has two wage garnishments for defaulting on debts in the 48th Distict Court-public record. She is a disgrace to law enforcement and can not manage her personal affairs. This is who the Democrat party of Oakland County is endorsing????

The "LEINS" is the "law enforcement information network" solely accessible and solely usable for law enforcement personnel in the course of their official duties. Just "snooping around" in LEINS out of morbid curiosity is a violation of the law. So I am hopeful that "Mike" isn't referring to this, or Mike him(her?)self is breaking the law.
As to whether Ms. Boudreau personally has any tax issues, I can assure you that none of that is publicly snoopable to the extent "Mike" infers. So it would seem Mike either is misusing private information that he(she?) has come to know through e.g. a position as a purported trusted person, or else "Mike" has a personal ax to grind against Ms. Boudreau and is making allegations that are completely unverifiable by anyone who reads this article or the comments. Shame on you, "Mike". If you don't like Ms. Boudreau, just say so. But don't make up things that are supposedly fact that you cannot at all back up. That's called slander.

Bouchard has been outstanding as sheriff of Oakland County. Why would we need an inexperienced fool to take his place. There is a wave of violence coming, does she really think she can surf? The Oakland County Sheriffs Office is very well respected throughout the law enforcement community. Why upset the apple cart.
Sincerely,
Retired Federal Agent.

Bouchard represents a money pit to the tax payer. He is often not working as Sheriff, but running for other elected positions and sitting on several committees that have nothing to do with being Sheriff in Oakland Co. He has a department that is rampant with misconduct and he has been behind many costly, unnecessary and significantly damaging paramitary attacks on several of our own INNOCENT citizens. He needs to go. I think Jane Boudreau would be a refreshing change, but anything other the status quo- VOTE BOUCHARD OUT!

We need a change in our law enforecment community, especially inthe Oakland County jails. 'Jail overcrowding, early release of criminals and cutting criminal recovery programs are tough issues that must be resolved with little impact to taxpayers. I will work with the County Commission to create a review board to determine solutions for jail overcrowding, recidivism and rehabilitation programs.'
Vote for JANE - We need a change!!

Hey Laura, you didn't address Boudreau being fired by 2 police agencies. Pretty big downer for a candidate for Sheriff. On the other hand it looks like she has a lot of personal experience with the law - mostly bad, but experience.
