If you're planning to head out to the Apple Store at The Somerset Collection today to pick up a brand-new iPhone 5, you may want to hurry – they're selling out fast.

"The Apple Store already sold out of AT&T phones," said Shelby Holter, 18, a Lansing Community College sophomore who came back home to Troy to stand in line for the new iPhone 5 with her father, Brian Holter.

And Shelby wasn't the only one waiting in line. People started gathering outside The Somerset Collection as early as 10 p.m. Thursday, she said.

"The line went all the way to the middle (courtyard) and then wrapped around, like lines at Cedar Point," Shelby said.

But, according to Shelby and Brian, it as well worth the wait.

"(I like the) LTE speed, the ability to take so many photos and quickly, (and) also its reliability!" Brian told Patch.

"It was definitely worth the wait in line," Shelby said, though she wasn't able to say yet what her favorite new feature is on the iPhone 5.

"The speed and the big screen is a super nice plus," she said, "and the camera is really fast, and the reliability of Apple. Any of those things."

After waiting on hold for more than 15 minutes, Patch gave up trying to reach a representative at the Apple Store Friday morning.

Apparently there is an equally long line at Partridge Creek, too.
