Fuel Report: Gas Prices Drop Around Oakland Township
The average cost for a gallon of regular gas in Metro Detroit was $3.37 Tuesday morning, according to AAA.
Area motorists are getting a break this week on gasoline prices, which have fallen by more than 10 cents since last week.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Metro Detroit was $3.37 Tuesday morning, down from $3.49 a week ago and up from $3.11 one year ago. The average price in the Rochester area was $3.42 Tuesday morning, down from $3.52 last week and up from $3.13 one year ago.
Here are some of Tuesday's prices for a gallon of regular gasoline at a few nearby stations, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report:
- Speedway (1030 S. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion): $3.36
- Sunoco (3850 Joslyn Rd., Lake Orion): $3.38
- NY Petroleum (415 S. Broadway St., Lake Orion): $3.39
- Speedway (6980 N. Rochester Rd., Rochester): $3.40
- Speedway (1010 Rochester Rd., Rochester): $3.44
