Dearborn Patch reader Farid Sareini, who is the winner of week 6 of our Your Patch of Michigan Photo Contest, which saw more than 100 entries last week!

Sareini won a Spa White teeth whitening service from WhiteScience Michigan, delievered via Margo’s of Northville valued at $199.

Our judges—a panel of our Patch editors—liked the celebratory tone of the picture, and thought the angle was a unique way to capture the big moment. You can feel the photographer's pride. The judges also felt like the photo was representative of how much Michigan values excellence in education. 

Here's what Fred says about the winning picture, and its subject—his nephew: "He graduated with a full ride, the Brehm scholarship to U of M Ann Arbor. We are extremely proud of him. I took this shot of him right after commencements."

In addition to the teeth whitening package, he'll be entered into a drawing to win the grand prize: a certificate for a two-night stay at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island valued at $600.
