Here's the Fireworks Grand Finale Everyone is Talking About
Did you feel the Earth shake in Rochester Hills on Wednesday night?
When Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett told us this year's Festival of the Hills show was going to be something special, we probably didn't take him seriously enough.
But it would be hard to argue that the Wednesday night show, put on by Wolverine Fireworks of Kawkawlin, was as good as Fourth of July celebrations get.
Incase you missed the display — or if you're wanting a replay — here's a 60-second video of grand finale.
(We swear that's an American flag in the sky for a split second at the end — do you see it?)
Did you photograph the fireworks? Share your photos here.

Yes, the earth shook!!! So enthusiastic are you, oh Kristin Bull, if I didn't read Patch, I would have thought these were gun shots, because they sound EXACTLY the same.

Oh, Reggie. You know me so well. If there is one thing I can't deny, it's my enthusiasm for all things patriotic. Happy Fourth.

Was it me or did they shoot them off from a different location this year? They were FABULOUS!

Thanks for the video, it helps me rub it in my coworkers faces. The finale was insane, I've never seen something like that, they really set the bar high.
And, gun shots? We're not in Fallujah, Reggie.

Michael, please refer to this: http://rochester.patch.com/articles/those-are-fireworks-not-gunshots-you-ll-hear-in-downtown-rochester-tonight
Fallujah is a nice place though, you should go visit.

Thanks for having us! We used a total of 9 positions in the show. The flag, smile faces and hearts were choreographed to break at certain points of the songs. The entire show is computer choreographed to the music. If you have any other questions you can visit us on fb. Thanks again to the folks of Rochester Hill, from the crew at Wolverine for the opportunity to participate at your great festival !

Yes indeed, the fireworks and sounds were impressive. I could hear and feel them from my house at Auburn/John R. But I have to comment on the one thing that is NOT patriotic that I did witness the next day; the loads of trash left behind all up and down John R and especially the park. What I found was absolutely uncalled for and even disgusting at times. Open food containers, wrappers, water/flavored drink bottles (some never opened), a broken folding chair, and dirty diapers lying open! Really?? Dirty diapers? The trash cans that were full were somehow dumped over. Come on folks, clean up after yourselves, this should not be left up to the parks crew. If you’re not from Rochester, shame on you for leaving the mess. If you are from Rochester, double shame on you.

That is definitely discouraging, @Rochester Resident.
