More than 2,000 DTE Customers Without Power in Lake Orion Area
More than 2,000 DTE customers are without power in the Lake Orion area on Friday. DTE expects power to return later in the day.
In the midst of a heat wave more than 2,000 DTE customers have no power in the Lake Orion area.
Think of the possible consequences: no air conditioning, food spoiling in the refrigerator, not being able to watch the James Bond marathon on Encore... All tragedies.
These customers lost power at approximately 5 p.m. yesterday, and DTE estimates it will be restored today by 11:30 a.m. Check their web site for more information.
The affected area includes a large residential area between Joslyn and Lapeer Roads, south of Indianwood Road and north of Scripps Road.
DTE says an auto-protection device is the culprit and is currently working to restore power to these customers.

Either you reported it wrong or DTE lied to you. The estimate for restoration on their website is the same as last night ~ between 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM. That's PM not AM. IF that's what they quoted to you, I'd love for you to ask them why they lied.
