Motorcycles Crash on Rochester Road Near Oakland Township

Both drivers were wearing helmets, according to police report.

 

Two motorcyclists and their passengers were hospitalized on Sunday after a crash on Rochester Road in Addison Township.

According to a report from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, a Dearborn motorcyclist lost control while traveling north on Rochester Road near Betts Road; the driver crossed the center lane and crashed into another motorcycle.

The Dearborn driver and and his passenger were taken to McLaren Hospital in Pontiac. Their conditions were not known.

The driver of the second motorcycle, an Oxford Township man, was flown by medical helicopter to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak; he had injuries to his leg and knee, the sheriff's report stated. His passenger was taken to McLaren.

Both drivers were wearing helmets, the report stated.

Traffic on Rochester Road was reportedly backed up through Oakland Township after the crash.
