Kids can campaign and vote for their most beloved books during the Orion Township library's Vote for a Book campaign.

The Orion Township Public Library is giving kids the chance to celebrate the right to vote with a “Vote for a Book” campaign.
The youth librarians have nominated 15 books in the election. Children can come in on Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 from 2-4 to campaign—make a poster or film a video with ONTV— for their book choice. Posters will be hung throughout the library and videos will be aired on ONTV.
Then, they can vote Nov. 5-6. Children can drop in to vote, or cast their vote on the library website.
"It is our hope that children will learn that their vote and opinion is important, ” said Deb Refior, Youth Services Department Head, in a recent press release.

I am so excited to have my kids "campaign" for their fave books! I want them to learn the importance of voting as early as possible.
