Pet of the Week: Patches Needs a Forever Home
Patches is available for adoption through Paws for Life Rescue in Troy.
Meet Patches. He is a 10-year-old short-haired orange and white kitty who is neutered, litterbox trained and front declawed.
Patches has a sweet, gentle soul and a kind and loving personality. He lives with other cats in his foster home and is very kind and careful with the baby kittens in the home. He was rescued from an animal control shelter where he had been abandoned along with his brother, Smokey, after their owner died.
Patches and Smokey both need to find a home soon where they can live out their lives being loved and cared for. They do not have to be adopted together, though their companionship is the only thing they still have that is familiar.
Patches and Smokey are very nice cats who deserve a home and someone to love for life.
Patches' adoption fee is $60, and it is $90 to adopt both Patches and Smokey. To fill out an adoption application, click here. For more information, visit www.pawsforliferescue.com.

This Pet of the Week certainly has an ideal name for showcasing here!
Seems like a sign that Patch editors should adopt the kitty as a mascot who can rotate through owners as pet of the week at all the, ahem, Patches.

Alan, it takes everything in me not to try to adopt our Pet of the Week every week! In fact, I did adopt one once, ha. I just hope this weekly feature helps get the word out about the many, many local pets that need loving homes :)
