Redbox Offering Free Movie Rental Thursday

The national giveaway celebrates the company's two billionth disc being rented last weekend.

If you've wanted to check out that new release but haven't made time for a movie night, Redbox has you covered.

To celebrate the company's two billionth disc being rented last weekend, Redbox is offering a free, one-night movie rental on Thursday. To get the freebie, the rental must be made at a kiosk using the promotional code THANKS2U.

Redbox kiosks can be found at the Kroger at 4888 N. Adams Rd. in Oakland Township, and also at the Kroger stores located at 460 N. Lapeer Rd. in Lake Orion and 3097 S. Baldwin Rd. in Orion Township.

And for those wondering, the two billionth rental was the movie Drive and it was rented at a McDonald’s in Philomath, OR.
