Save the Date for Brooksie Way 2013
Plans are already under way for the sixth year of the Oakland County half-marathon.
The sixth annual Brooksie Way Half-Marathon and 5K will be Sept. 29, 2013, and the countdown has already begun.
On the official race website, a clock is busy counting the hours, minutes and seconds until Oakland County's popular race begins. This will be the second year the race has been in September; previous races were scheduled in October.
Will you be there?
Here's a look at our coverage of the 2012 Brooksie Way.

They have used pretty much the same course for several years so I would expect much the same next year. I have been a volunteer for a couple of years and each year, they get better at traffic control and reducing the down time for the effected roads. We live in the middle of the race path and we were cut off for about 90 minutes. Pay attention to the communications and plan your morning events accordingly.

I have wondered why there are not more complaints about the parade this weekend. Tienken and Main Street will be closed for several hours. Why so many complaints about the Brooksie and so few about the parade?

Seriously lady, quit being such a Grinch. It's only a few hours. Plus, you can use side streets to avoid downtown and Tienken all together.

Zinngg ... It's after 8AM Zing ... time to wake up. You read RH mom's comment totally backward. RH mom is not nor did she say Anything Negative about either event. She was not complaining! ;-)
