Stoney, Adams, Rochester Skiers Advance to State Finals
Adams and Stoney girls placed third overall in this week's regional competition.
The Adams High School girls ski team, which includes skiers from both Adams and Stoney Creek high schools, will advance to the state championship meet at Boyne Mountain next week.
The team placed third overall Wednesday at Mount Holly in the MHSAA Division 1 Region 2 competition.
Team members are Lauren Borowicz (Stoney Creek junior), Shelby Rosalik (Stoney Creek sophomore), Natalie Lumsden (Adams senior), Laura Postlmayr (Stoney Creek senior), Lauren Henry (Stoney Creek senior), Abby Smith (Adams junior) and Brittany Land (Adams sophomore).
Alex McLaren also qualified in the boys slalom event as an individual racer; Natalie Krauss of Rochester High School qualified in the girls giant slalom event as an individual.
The state meet will be held Feb. 25.

The ski teams are loaded with very hard working, dedicated student athletes! They start Nov. 1st and don't stop until March/April, 6 -7 days a week. Go get them at States racers !!!
