Vendors and hungry shoppers alike flock to Children's Park every Wednesday for the Lake Orion Farmers Market. Currently in its fourth year, the market is open for business from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Homemade bread, organic chicken, produce, sweets, honey and natural soaps and lotions are just a few of the specialties you're sure to find at the market.

Local growers weren't shy of the rain this Wednesday, if anything they welcomed it.

"We're hurting for rain.  Everything's dry, the pasture is pretty much burned up so we've been feeding hay to the cattle already when we usually don't have to worry about that until August," Phillip Rhodes said.

Rhodes' grandfather started Raub-Rae Farm and it has been the family business ever since. Located in Brown City and specializing in chicken and beef, it has been certified organic since 1991.
