VP Hopeful Paul Ryan Headed to Oakland County
The Republican vice presidential candidate will attend a rally at Oakland University on Monday night.
Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan will appear at a Republican campaign rally at Oakland University on Monday.
The event is open to the public; tickets are free and can be ordered online now or picked up at the Lake Orion campaign office starting Monday. The rally starts at 7 p.m. at the Athletics Center O'rena, the site of a GOP presidential debate last fall.
The event, called a "Victory Rally," will occur four nights before the debate between Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden; that debate is planned for 8 p.m. Thursday.

The tickets
Those interested in attending the rally can pick up tickets starting at 9 a.m. on Monday at the following campaign offices:
- Oakland-Royal Oak Victory Office: 30701 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak
- Oakland-Lake Orion Victory Office: W. Clarkston Road, Lake Orion
- Oakland-Bloomfield Hills Victory Office: 42611 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills
- Macomb-Utica Victory Office, 13285 Hall Road Suite C125, Utica

Getting to the O'rena
A shuttle service to and from the Meadow Brook Music Festival parking lot will be made available to attendees from 4:30-9:45 p.m., as there will be no parking made available near the O'rena. For a map of campus, visit oakland.edu/map.
Security
All attendees will be asked to pass through a security check, and are asked not to bring bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs.
