The stuffed Owl story is cruel irony, but I want to know exactly what these other tax payerRead Moreexpenses are that Mr. Schmidt speaks of. Out with it already! None of these new officials seem like the type to beat around the bushes. So tell us! Or are these baseless accusations meant to smear the others?
Carol Cook April 16, 2014 at 08:09 PM
ANSWER: BASELESS ACCUSATIONS. Just like in Washington, when THE JUST start getting close to theRead Moref acts and expose the truth, i.e. IRS, Obama Care, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, etc. the accusations of all sorts of malfeasance, discrimination and conspiracy come out by means to distract and discredit. The new board and Parks Commission members who are following Supervisor Gonser's twisted ideology are in the minority on both the Board and the Park Commission. The great take over didn't work and they are all lame ducks, and they know it. All they have left is to shoot out these baseless accusations to try to dis credit the other side in hopes of dissolving their will to stay the course. It all about intimidation. Formers Trustee's Keyes and McKay were targets of that intimidation and resigned. Thank you Trustee Bailey, Treasurer Langlois, Trustee Buxar and Clerk Reilly for taking a stand against it and sending a message to Supervisor Gonser that he is part of a BOARD and not a dictator. As to Commissioner Schmidt and Commissioner Rogers who are suing, along with Beth Markel, four incumbent Parks Commissioners who have served our community for more that 70 years collectively, you are costing ALL of us time, tax dollars and aggravation for more of your BASELESS ACCUSATiONS and we, the residents, will not forget that the next election cycle.

Go have another drink Judy, I mean "Carol".

Beth Markel, I find your preaching to Mr. Kingsbury quite hypocritical. Several months ago on thisRead Morew ebsite, you called me an "ass hat". I am sure you remember that. Your negative comment on the Foglers at the April 8th BOT meeting gave the citizens another glimpse of your true character. Before you preach to others, you had better do some self examination of your actions in the past, and start taking the 'high road'. I have refrained from bringing this up in the past, but your recent sermon to Mr. Kingsbury was too much to take. May the season that is upon us allow you to reflect on your behavior. I certainly will do the same. Have a "GOOD FRIDAY" and a HAPPY EASTER!
Cal Kingsbury April 18, 2014 at 08:00 AM
Uh oh, Patch, look out.....seems like Beth Markel is at it again and eyeing YOU for one of herRead MoreBASEL ESS LAW SUITS. Yeah, Mr. Michalski, I caught that too, when she called out the Foglers by name and slandered their good name and business on Rochester Rd. If I were the Fogler's, I would sue her!

Calling someone "A Markel" OUCH! That's a low blow.....I'd rather be called aRead More"witc h"! Right?...... "Charles?" wink wink, (Hi Markels! we know it's you!)

Griffon you certainly have an interesting way with words and perspective. I hope ALL residents pray Read Morefor our township and country on Sunday or any day and I am sure they do. You also have a great deal of tolerance for those on boards and commissions as long as they are not conservative. I think you should visit and post over at Mr. Michalski's little "Media Matters" site as your jaundiced and convoluted point of view would fit right in over there!
Richard Michalski April 08, 2014 at 06:26 PM
Frank C. Ferriolo, Thanks for your post. Like you and many other citizens of Oakland Township, IRead Morew ill be praying for our Township and Country. Unfortunately, we may not be praying for the same things. Over the past few months, i have actually agreed with you on a number of things. So tolerance and open-mindedness is a value I do value. Your attack on our "Oakland Township Watchers" website, or "Media Matters" as you called it, reflects the lack of open-mindedness and tolerance exhibited by the far right "Tea Party" group that you and others in our Township leadership espouse. You can discuss that with Gonser in your Friday 'Coffee Club' meeting with the rest of Gonser's gang. I would challenge you or anyone else to find any non-factual item posted on the website. Yes opinions are sometimes included, however, the "FACTUAL MEDIA SHARED ON THE WEBSITE DOES MATTER!" As always, I encourage folks to visit www.oaklandtownship.info and form your own opinions based on the facts presented.

Frank, as I stated in the previous post, I agree with you on a number of things. At the April 8thRead MoreB oard meeting, I agreed with MANY of the things you stated. Your willingness to challenge Supervisor Gonser on his proposal to have the "walk on" appointment for the replacement of Trustee McKay was great. Your recommendation to have more time to get the word out for others to apply was great. Having the Board and the citizens 'vette' the candidates was great. Maybe we are not that too far apart on issues after all. Please keep an open mind and look at the facts presented on the website.
