Roger Schmidt is a kind, considerate, Christian man who has lived in this community for over 40Read Moreyear s. He is selflessly serving his community, having never been in politics during his lifetime. The liberal 10 - 15 in this township who HATE the TRUTH and who have been unseated for good reason, are continually attacking the new conservative Board of Trustees and the new conservative Parks Commissioners on a personal level. They are so filled with hate and jealousy that their power has been taken that they compulsively spew lies and bitterness wherever they go. They continually twist the truth in hopes of gaining support for their distorted views. Former Trustee Keyes appeared to be inebriated at the last parks commission meeting, stumbling and making incoherent remarks as well as talking to herself. She has exposed herself as being confused and desperate since she joined forces with the liberal bloggers in OT. I hope you all find the help you desperately need as you are all so lost.

Jeremiah, I am not a liberal. I only seek the truth. I am not attacking Roger Schmidt'sRead Moreintegrity , only his competence. Anyone who watches the video and believes that Roger Schmidt's comments were appropriate as the Treasurer of the Commission is not willing to look at the facts. Your pulling the conservative/liberal issue into this discussion is immaterial. Please go back and watch the video. Accusations about the Commission using a 'slush fund' without providing facts, or challenging the use of the money when the Commission approved the funds, is certainly not something one would expect from a competent member of the Board.

Hello Whereisthechange? Are you speaking to me, when you address me as Charlie? Because I wouldRead Morenev er think of addressing you as Witch, because that would just be rude. Just a sec, isn’t that what you just claimed the Markel’s were? Now if you want to see what rude really is, you should watch the Board of Trustee’s tape from early March where a former Trustee ripped the microphone from another citizens hand, because where I come from that’s rude. Charles

Michalski, you are irrelevant and a bloviate. In America, you can express your opinion, but I forRead Moreon e, wish you would just shut up. I find your constant liberal opining nauseating as well as twisted and wrong. Give it up.
Richard Michalski April 16, 2014 at 11:25 AM
As you stated, "In America, you can express your opinion!". Thank you for sharing yours. Read MoreBut I choose to continue to make visible the "relevant" facts that are occurring in our Township.

Griffon you certainly have an interesting way with words and perspective. I hope ALL residents pray Read Morefor our township and country on Sunday or any day and I am sure they do. You also have a great deal of tolerance for those on boards and commissions as long as they are not conservative. I think you should visit and post over at Mr. Michalski's little "Media Matters" site as your jaundiced and convoluted point of view would fit right in over there!

Frank C. Ferriolo, Thanks for your post. Like you and many other citizens of Oakland Township, IRead Morew ill be praying for our Township and Country. Unfortunately, we may not be praying for the same things. Over the past few months, i have actually agreed with you on a number of things. So tolerance and open-mindedness is a value I do value. Your attack on our "Oakland Township Watchers" website, or "Media Matters" as you called it, reflects the lack of open-mindedness and tolerance exhibited by the far right "Tea Party" group that you and others in our Township leadership espouse. You can discuss that with Gonser in your Friday 'Coffee Club' meeting with the rest of Gonser's gang. I would challenge you or anyone else to find any non-factual item posted on the website. Yes opinions are sometimes included, however, the "FACTUAL MEDIA SHARED ON THE WEBSITE DOES MATTER!" As always, I encourage folks to visit www.oaklandtownship.info and form your own opinions based on the facts presented.

Frank, as I stated in the previous post, I agree with you on a number of things. At the April 8thRead MoreB oard meeting, I agreed with MANY of the things you stated. Your willingness to challenge Supervisor Gonser on his proposal to have the "walk on" appointment for the replacement of Trustee McKay was great. Your recommendation to have more time to get the word out for others to apply was great. Having the Board and the citizens 'vette' the candidates was great. Maybe we are not that too far apart on issues after all. Please keep an open mind and look at the facts presented on the website.
