 n with Oakland Township Historical Society would like to invite you to a
  Fifteen Star Flag raisingceremony to commemorate the Bicentennial of th
 e adoption of the Declaration of War\, signed by President James Madison
  on June 18\, 1812.&nbsp\;\nThe Flag raising ceremony is on June 18\, 20
 12 at 6:30 pm at the site of the flag pole at Cranberry Lake Farm Histor
 ic District located at 388 West Predmore Road in Oakland Township.&nbsp\
 ; The ceremony includes a Presentation of Colors\, Flag raising\, Pledge
  of Allegiance\, historical comments\, and a live performance of the &ld
 quo\;Star Spangled Banner&rdquo\; by Lorrie Garrison.&nbsp\; The program
  will runapproximately thirty to sixty minutes.\nCome on out to learn ab
 out the War of 1812\, where conventional land and naval battles were fou
 ght within Michigan boundaries on the banks of the River Raisin &ndash\;
  Remember the Raisin?&nbsp\; Feel free to bring a picnic to have with yo
 ur family for this fun\, educational program.&nbsp\;Food and non-alcohol
 ic beverages are permitted.&nbsp\; Parking is available just west of the
  historic farmstead located on the north side of Predmore Road.&nbsp\; T
 he Fifteen Star Flag Raising Ceremony is planned rain or shine.&nbsp\; T
 he main house has a covered porch in case of inclement weather.&nbsp\;\n
