Love dogs? You don't want to miss this event!!! The Doggie Dash is a casual 1.25 mile dog walk that promotes healthy lifestyles for people and pets through physical activity. Owners who wish to register with their dog will receive a long sleeve t-shirt, collapsible water bowl for their canine companion and a raffle ticket for great prize! The Pet Expo is an opportunity for pet owners of the past, present and future to meet with experts from all sectors of the pet industry. Admission to the Pet Expo and Dog Park is FREE and will also include a variety of demonstrations from grooming and obedience training, to health and nutrition. Annual passes are available for purchase at Orion Township municipal offices and Oakland County Park locations. We are currently seeking vendors, sponsors, volunteers and partners. More About Orion Oaks County Park
The use of Oakland County Park requires a daily pass or annual vehicle permit. There are parking lots located on Joslyn, Baldwin and Clarkston roads. Fishing on Lake Sixteen and hiking and mountain biking are activities offered here.
There is a 24-acre fenced-off portion of the park that serves as the Orion Oaks Dog Park. The parking lot for the dog park is located off of Joslyn Road. There is access to Lake Sixteen for dogs to take a dip, two trails, drinking water, a vast field area and a picnic shelter.
