The 2012 amateur photo contest at Guardian Angel Cemetery offers prizes to those with a photobug!
Anyone can enter a photo for free, but there are two guidelines: it must be taken at the cemetery and submitted by August 15.
Voters determine the winning photographs at the Arts and Apples festival in downtown Rochester from September 7 to 9.
The winning photographers will receive a $150 VISA giftcard and a $150 donation towards their school, church or organization.
There are three age brackets: 18 and under, 19 to 49 and 50 and above.
Photos can be submitted to the cemetery office or e-mailed to wmann@mtelliot.com.

More About Guardian Angel Cemetery
Guardian Angel Cemetery is the largest of its kind in the area. It has slightly sloping hills, with flowers and careful landscaping making it appealing and suitable for the burial place of loved ones. The idea of the guardian angel is represented through the statues at the entrance, and the large mausoleum is climate-controlled, making it comfortable for visiting. The cemetery has a long, paved, winding road that makes the entire graveyard easily accessible.
