DESCRIPTION:With his reign over Britain drawing to a close\, the aging\,
tyrannical King Lear intends to divide his realm among his daughters &nd
ash\; Goneril\, Regan and Cordelia. There's one catch: They must proclai
m their utmost devotion. The unscrupulous Goneril and Regan shower oodle
s of false love\, for which they're generously rewarded. The devoted Co
rdelia expresses her profound love simply and succinctly. Lear is taken
aback by this lack of lavishness\, disinheriting her in a fit of rage. A
s he comes to realize the error of his ways\, Goneril and Regan turn rut
hless in their quest for power\, plotting with the Duke of Cornwall and
the bastard Edmund. Cordelia\, now married to the King of France\, prepa
res to attack England for the good of Lear. Meanwhile\, the Duke of Alba
ny\, the loyal earls of Kent and Gloucester\, plus Gloucester's legitima
te son\, Edgar\, do their part to help save the kingdom. Deceit\, disgui
se and dishonor run rampant as a pathetic\, ever-despairing Lear wonders
  aloud\, &ldquo\;O fool\, I shall go mad!&rdquo\;\n&nbsp\;\nFull Impact
