The Miah Mile is a 1 mile walk or run, In remembrance of Jeremiah Hargett who lost his life to Suicide due to Bipolar 1 Severe with Psychosis, a Mental Illness Disease. The focus is to gather in memory of an exceptional young man and athlete who was a very strong minded individual and used his athletic talents to achieve educational scholarships to move forward in life. Our goal is bring awareness to Mental Illness Diseases in all forms and the destruction it causes in ones life the can ultimatly result in suicide. The MIAH MILE is open to all ages. There will be no formal registration this year. T-shirts and yellow ribbion braclets will be sold with proceeds given to a charity for mental illness awareness and Suicide Prevention at Common Ground.

Lake Orion High School's mission is to provide an educational environment that enables its students to achieve their highest potential and contribute to society. The home of the "Dragons," Lake Orion's athletic department offers cross country, football, soccer, tennis, golf, swimming, volleyball, basketball, skiing, wrestling and more sports for students to compete in. Additionally, Lake Orion High School is a National Blue Ribbon School and an NCA Accredited High School.
