Wagon Wheel Bar Collapses Under Snow Dumped by Winter Storm Hercules
There were no injuries when the long-vacant building collapsed, but the public is asked to stay away.
One of the casualties of Winter Storm Hercules is the former Wagon Wheel Bar, which collapsed under the weight of heavy snow about 7 p.m. Sunday.
Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry L. Narsh said the bar has long been empty and no one was injured in the collapse, but the public is being asked to stay away to avoid injury in the event of a further collapse. The bar is located at 102 S. Broadway in the downtown district.
Broadway Street remains closed from M-2 to front Street. The Front Street alley between the Wagon Wheel Bar and Verwood Apartment building is also closed.

Narsh said the owner has been notified and has contacted his insurance company for an emergency assessment of the building.
Utilities have been turned off.
