Lake Orion Native Rehabs Burned-Out Detroit Home for TV Series

Free Press reporter follows Lake Orion's Nicole Curtis on house-flipping mission in burned-out Detroit home.

Lake Orion native Nicole Curtis has made a living fixing up dilapidated homes and is now focusing her efforts on Metro Detroit for her TV series Rehab Addict, which airs on the DIY network.

A Detroit Free Press reporter recently joined the 36-year-old house flipper on a burned-out home on Campbell Street, just west of Detroit's Corktown neighborhood. 

"The backyard was overgrown enough to make me wonder whether Jimmy Hoffa was in there somewhere," Free Press reporter Zlati Meyer wrote in a recent piece

According to Meyer, Curtis bought the house for $1 and planned to invest $50-60,000 to renovate it to its former glory.
