Rochester Community Schools got 113 "pass," one "yellow" and three "red" bus inspection ratings during the same time frame, according to the MSP report.
What rankings meanA "pass" means the total number of school buses deemed to be in satisfactory condition. A "yellow" notes buses in unsatisfactory conditions but are safe for operation. Meanwhile, a "red" signifies buses in unsafe conditions, according to Michigan State Police.
"Michigan law requires the repair of all red tag items before placing that bus back into passenger service," MSP states.
The law enforcement agency conducts school bus inspections beginning each Sept. 1 and ending each Aug. 31. The findings are posted after each Sept. 1.
