Tough Mudders Now Have To Shudder!

Participants in the recent “Tough Mudder” event in Brooklyn, Michigan now have another obstacle to overcome – norovirus!  Seems over 200 hard core participants in the event reported having vomiting, diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps and nausea – oh happy day!   The “Tough Mudder” and the “Warrior Dash” are nationwide events that test the strength, stamina and mental grit of the “warriors” as they traverse an obstacle course that includes fire walls, electrified fences, tires, trenches, climbing walls and rope climbs.  Participants also dive into muddy ponds which at times are over their heads.  These ponds often contain bodily fluids as some of the runners upchuck, urinate or salivate into the waters – another happy day!  So if competing in an event that not only tests your energy and will power with the possibility of contracting anal leakage appeals to you, then sign up!  As for me, the elliptical bike at the air conditioned gym suits me just fine!
