Oakland County to Host Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk

Oakland County's going pink Oct. 13 for a walk to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

Pink will be a hot color Saturday morning.

More than a thousand people are expected to walk Saturday morning at Oakland University to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research and support.

The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a noncompetitive, inspirational event, taking place at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 13, 2012.

To participate, you can donate online and view a route map at www.cancer.org/stridesonline.

According to the American Cancer Society, more than 226,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease.

Funds raised through Making Strides enable the American Cancer Society to provide free resources and support to the one in two women newly diagnosed with breast cancer who turn to the Society for information and help; to invest in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat and cure breast cancer

I was wondering where can I view the group picture that was taken at the walk?
