Traffic lights along Lapeer Road, south of Clarkston Road and north of Silverbell Road were compromised Wednesday as well, causing traffic backups. According to a DTE representative, power should be restored by about 2 p.m. Wednesday, and some traffic lights have already been rebooted.

Cause of the power outage, according to the DTE representative, was a tree making contact with a wire, which brought down the wire on the 700 block of Waldon Road.
