UPDATE: County Snowplow Drivers Out in Full Force; Winter Weather Advisory Remains in Effect

A winter weather advisory remains in effect till 11 a.m

Nine days before the official start of spring, residents awoke to another couple inches of snow and hazardous driving conditions this morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Pontiac.

Though the snow has mostly stopped falling, many roads continue to be slick this morning as the snow continues to blow; additional accumulations of an inch are also possible this morning.

Snowplow drivers for the Road Commission for Oakland County were out in full force by 3 a.m., according to Craig Bryson, public information officer for the road commission. 

He said they will continue to clear and salt the roads until this afternoon.

As of rush hour, most freeways and major roads were generally moving well, though there was slush in many places, Bryson stated. Many secondary roads remained snow covered.
