Bookmobile Will Stop at Paint Creek Cider Mill

The mobile library will be there Monday nights starting July 18.

The Bookmobile is adding another stop in Oakland Township.

Christine Lind Hage, director of the , announced this week the addition of three Bookmobile stops that will begin this month.

The stops include a Monday night appearance at the Paint Creek Cider Mill. It will first appear from 7:15-8:15 p.m. Monday, July 18 and continue every Monday after that.

In addition, two Bookmobile stops have been added in Rochester Hills. They are:

  • At the on Avon Road; that stop will be Wednesday, July 13 from 11 a.m.-noon and continue every other Wednesday.
  • In the parking lot of , starting Wednesday, July 20 from 1:15-2:15 p.m. It will make a stop there every other Wednesday at that time throughout the summer.

The library's bookmobile is billed as one of the busiest in the state, with about 25 stops each week. It contains more than 3,000 items — books, movies, CDs and more — as well as computers that access the library's catalog.

“Especially during the summer we see families bicycle to their nearest bookmobile stop, making this a free family activity," said Hage in a news release.
