'Extremely Treacherous' Travel Conditions Possible as Roads Freeze, Snow Falls
Roads will become very slippery as temperatures drop and moisture freezes; 1-2 inches of snow accumulation is possible Saturday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Oakland County effective until 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Temperatures will continue to drop this evening, falling below freezing and causing the water on the roads to freeze. Snow will also persist Saturday evening; 1-2 inches of snow could accumulate between 6-9 p.m.
"Snow-covered and icy roads will make travel this evening extremely treacherous," warns the National Weather Service. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads Saturday evening.
