If You Disappeared Over Spring Break Last Week, Here's What You Missed on Patch

If you were lucky enough to head out of town on spring break all of last week, and now you're now playing catch-up, Patch would like to help. Here's a look at five top stories that ran last week.

The poor, poor mailboxes: Two Oakland Township teenagers and one Rochester Hills teenager were arrested and charged with minor in possession of alcohol after they admitted to and other property in a neighborhood near Adams and Gunn roads on April 1, according to police reports. All three teenagers – two 17-year-old males and a 16-year-old male – had been drinking, police said.

Is it a bank or an art gallery?: The inside of TCF Bank in Rochester Hills has been temporarily complete with dozens of pieces of artwork by National Scholastic Art Award winners from Stoney Creek High School. The display is free and open to the public and includes artwork by National Scholastic Art Award Winners Audrey Benjaminsen, Katie Doyle, Sara Harbin and Mandy Hess, who was one of only two students in the nation to win the 2011 Photography Portfolio Gold Award. The bank, which is located by Papa Joe's at Rochester and Tienken roads, is hosting an evening reception this Tuesday starting at 5 p.m.; the display runs through the end of the month.

Chester is home!: On April 3, Chester the English Setter near Orion and Gunn roads. He was gone for a few days before a good Samaritan found and returned him in to his owners Wednesday afternoon.

Stoney Creek vs. Rochester Baseball: In this year's Rochester Invitational Tournament, both Stoney Creek and Rochester high schools ended up in the consolation round – . Stoney Creek won the tournament's consolation championship 5-4. Stoney Creek (3-2) begins their regular season at home against Utica Ford on Tuesday, and Rochester (2-3) starts their regular season against Avondale at Oakland University on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
