In the Mood to Shop? Here's 4 Sales to Hit This Weekend

Chances are good that it will be a gloomy Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, so why not treat yourself to a shopping trip?

There are a variety of unique and local shopping opportunities this weekend that you won't want to miss. If you know of any other sales this weekend, post your event to our Events Calendar and tell fellow readers about it in the comments.

Here are four places to stop and shop this weekend:

1. : This Super Rummage Sale at the in Oakland Township will have everything from household goods to clothing, collectibles and more. Community members can scour the goods from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
2. : A craft show will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday at in Lake Orion. Attendees can expect to find all sorts of homemade goodies including jewelry, afgans, wreaths, greeting cards, baked goods and more. A raffle, silent auction and face painting for the kids will be set up onsite. Everyone who brings five Box Tops for Education to the craft show will receive a raffle ticket to be entered to win a prize. Funds from the craft show will benefit the Oxford/Lake Orion Relay for Life.
3. : Sports memorabilia, dolls, trading cards, miniature cars, China tea cups and more will be on display at this Rochester Community House show and sale this weekend. Community members are invited to drop in from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday to peruse the collectible items. Admission is $3 for adults and free for kids.
4. Mom2Mom Sale: Lake Orion Community Education Enrichment Services are sponsoring a Mom2Mome Sale Saturday at the Community Education Resource Center located at 455 E. Scripps Rd. Dozens of people will be onsite from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. selling strollers, books, kids clothing, kids furniture, toys and more. Admission into the sale is $1 per person.
