Township Parks Get Big Boost During Live TV Interview

Supervisor Joan Fogler gave Oakland Township a big boost to a southeast Michigan TV audience on Sunday afternoon.

Dave Lewallen and Glenda Lewis of WXYZ Channel 7 interviewed Fogler for about two minutes during the station's live broadcast of . The TV anchors recognized the township's cooperation with Rochester and Rochester Hills and its involvement with big events — like the annual parade.

Lewis asked Fogler what was new in the township.

"What's new in Oakland Township?" Fogler asked. "We're busy, busy, busy."

She cited the work on the township's parks, including the , the sledding hill at and the and   at .

She also took a moment to praise the development happening in the township.

"There were 165 building permits this year as opposed to 101 last year — is that good or what?" she said.

"We just have lots of good things going on."
