Viewfinder: People of the Paint Creek Trail

A look at a few of the people (and pets) who enjoy spending time on the trail.

The 8.9-mile stretch making up the Paint Creek Trail is often teeming with runners, walkers and bicyclists – especially when the weather is nice.

"It's just so peaceful and unique," Rochester resident Gary Ward, 60, said of the trail.

Oakland Township resident Tom Davids, who was out for a run on the trail when he stopped to speak with Patch, said that he has been exercising on the trail for three to four years now.

"I like that it's not paved, there is a lot of shade and it's flat," he said.
