Weekend Weather: Showers Likely, Rising Temperatures

Here's a look at the weekend forecast in and around Lake Orion and Oakland Township.

According to the National Weather Service's forecast, Mother Nature's not sure how she wants to usher in April.

For those of you sticking around the area for Spring Break, temperatures are expected to climb over the weekend, peaking at about 72 degrees on Monday before falling once again. Friday: There is a 60 percent chance of rainshowers afer noon on Friday, with new rainfall amounts less than a quarter of an inch. There is a 30 percent chance that showers will continue through the evening. The high temperature for the day is expected to be 42 degrees, with a low around 30 degrees. Winds will be light most of Friday, though gusts as high as 26 mph are possible during the day.

Saturday: The sun will peek out a bit on Saturday, leading to a partly cloudy evening. Northeast winds will be between 3 and 7 mph according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will increase to 50 degrees during the day, falling to around 37 later that night.

Sunday: There is a 30 percent chance of showers throughout the day Sunday, with partly sunny skies. Temperatures are forecasted to peak at 65 degrees and fall to around 48.
