Weekend Weather: Wet With Strong Winds

Snow and rain showers highlight the weekend.

It's the first weekend in March, but snow will still be sticking around awhile longer, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

Here's a look at the day-by-day forecast:

Friday: There is a chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. on Friday. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent with southeast winds between 5-15 mph. Temperatures are expected to dip from 46 degrees during the day to around 32 degrees Friday night, with snow showers after midnight. Winds are expected to pick up Friday evening and could get as high as 37 mph. No snow accumulation is in the forecast.

Saturday: There is a 30 percent chance snow showers will continue Saturday after noon and through the night. Winds will be strong, with southwest winds between 26-32 mph, with a possibility of reaching 41 mph during the day. Winds will calm slightly during the evening. The high temperature for the day is expected to be near 38 degrees with a low of 24.

Sunday: There is a 30 percent chance of snow showers during the day, making way for a mostly cloudy night. A high of 32 degrees is anticipated, with a low of 18 degrees.
