What's Going On This Week? Farmers Market Returns, Blood Drive and More

Here's what's happening in and around Oakland Township and Lake Orion this week.

There is a lot going on this week. Here are some highlights:

    • Monday: There is a Rochester Community Schools Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. at the . The Orion Township Board of Trustees meets at 7 p.m. Monday at . A Lake Orion Planning Commission meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. at .
    • Tuesday: An Oakland Township Planning Commission meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at .
    • Wednesday: A Lake Orion Community Schools Board of Education meeting takes place from 3-7 p.m. at the . From 3-6 p.m. a budget workshop will take place, and at 6 p.m. LOCS staff members will be recognized for achievements this school year. The Orion Township Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been cancelled.
  2. Lake Orion Farmers Market: The Farmers Market returns to downtown Lake Orion this week. From 2-6 p.m. Wednesday a variety of vendors will set up shop next to .
  3. Oakland Township Historical Society Potluck: At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday the is joining at Cranberry Lake Farm (located at 384 W. Predmore Road in Oakland Township) for its annual elections. Members of the public are welcome to attend this free event to learn about 'The Historic Webber House'. Attendees are welcome to bring a dish to pass and join in the potluck dinner as well.
  4. Red Cross Blood Drive: From 2-8 p.m. Tuesday in Lake Orion will host a Red Cross Blood Drive. To sign up for an appointment visit www.redcrossblood.org. Enter the sponsor code 'scrippsmiddle' when making an appointment.
