Easter Seals of Michigan's Hightail it for Heroes

Easter Seals Michigan will host its first Hightail it for Heroes wheel/run fundraiser event on Saturday, Nov. 10, Veterans Day weekend, at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township. Registration is available at the Easter Seals website online or will begin at onsite November 10 at 7:30 a.m. This event will include a 5K and 10K race with a 5K wheeler division for athletes competing in wheelchairs. The various races will begin in 15-minute intervals starting at 9 a.m. This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) certified and timed race, with awards given to the top three male and female finishers in various age ranges. The basic entry fee is $25. For $35, racers will also receive a limited edition high-tech racing shirt. All proceeds will support Easter Seals Michigan programs designed to assist current or retired members of the military and their family members.
