UDM Legend Rashad Phillips to host Basketball Clinic at Kingsbury
Rashad Phillips, the former University of Detroit Mercy star who started his own Rochester Hills-based basketball school two years ago, will be hosting a free clinic Oct. 20 at Kingsbury Country Day School in Oxford from 10am to 12 noon. Available to boys and girls from 5 through 18 years of age, the clinic will take place in the beautiful Justin A. Schwartz Center and will be staffed by Phillips himself plus other coaches who work for him.
RP Skills Unlimited provides individual and small group training sessions. Phillips works to target each youth’s potential and develop a tailored program that suits their individual needs.
The host school, Kingsbury, is celebrating its 60th year of serving students in Oakland, Macomb and Lapeer Counties. Located at 5000 Hosner Rd. (at Oakwood Road) five miles east of downtown Oxford, Kingsbury is an International Baccalaureate School that offers small class sizes, a challenging curriculum and a safe environment on 125 acres of woods, meadows and wetlands. The Justin A. Schwartz Center offers a full-dimension court with hardwood floor and six baskets.
