3 New Monuments Unveiled at Orion Veterans Memorial
Community turns out for introduction during Thursday's National Day of Prayer ceremony.
In spite of stormy skies Thursday, dozens of community members joined together at the in Lake Orion for the annual National Day of Prayer ceremony.
While community members prayed and guests including Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh and Orion Township Supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel spoke, three new monuments were unveiled: a purple heart, medal of honor and fallen heroes monument.
Each new monument was greeted with rounds of applause by attendees.
