2 Orion Township Businesses Cited for Selling Alcohol to Underage Decoys

The following information was provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Orion Township Sheriff’s Office Deputies on June 26 conducted an Alcohol Enforcement Operation on liquor license holders in Orion Township.

Deputies randomly inspected 12 establishments in Orion Township Deputies and found two businesses that were not in compliance with Michigan Liquor Control Commission guidelines.

A business in the 2000 block of Baldwin and a business in the 3000 block of Joslyn were issued misdemeanor citations for furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 years of age.

A MLCC violation report was sent to the MLCC for a hearing. The enforcement operations are part of routine inspections to ensure businesses are abiding by all laws.
