A fire that burned the barn on the west side of Adams Road south of Silverbell Road Friday night is still under investigation Wednesday morning, according to the Oakland County Fire Investigation Unit.*
crews responded to a fire at the barn at approximately 10:30 p.m. The barn burned for about two hours and was completely destroyed; the fire resulted in no injuries.
The structure is owned by and is used to store Christmas decorations and lawn and snow removal equipment.
“Thank God it was just a barn and not a life – that’s the biggest blessing right now,” Pastor Dominic Russo, Jr. said Friday night.
*We reported Friday that the fire was considered an accident; the exact cause is not yet known as of Wednesday morning. We also reported that OCSO Det. Art Schrah said he did not believe there was foul play, which was incorrect; the investigation is still ongoing as of Nov. 30.
