Deputies Nab 4 Teen Suspects in Rash of Auto Break-ins in Orion Twp.

Oakland County sheriff's deputies caught four teen suspects early Saturday morning in a rash of auto break-ins in Orion Township over the last several weeks.

Four teenage boys were caught with stolen property over the weekend and told police they were responsible for a rash of auto break-ins in Orion Township, according to a police report.

's deputies got calls early Saturday morning from residents of both the Sycamore Creek Apartments on the 3300 block of Aspen Street and the Tall Oaks subdivision in the area of Maybee and Baldwin.

Deputies responded and caught two suspects who had fled on foot. Both were in possession of stolen property. Detectives also tracked down two more suspects.

The four teen boys from Orion Township — ages 15, 14, 16 and 18 — were arrested, and deputies said they admitted to a recent rash of larcenies from automobiles in this area over the last several weeks, according to the report.

Detectives were able to recover much of the stolen property taken from the vehicles. The juvenile boys were released to their parents and the adult male was taken to Oakland County Jail.
