Man Cited for Riding Motorcycle Without License, Then for Marijuana Possession

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Substation in Oakland Township.

A man stopped and cited recently for not having a license on the motorcycle he was riding was issued a second citation for possession of marijuana, according to an Oakland County sheriff's office report.

While on patrol on the border of Oakland and Orion townships on Aug. 30, a deputy observed a 24-year-old Oakland Township man on the side of the road next to a motorcycle with no license plate. The man stated he was test driving the motorcycle when it broke down, and that he did not have his license on him, according to the sheriff's office report.

Before the deputy transported the man back to the residence of the motorcycle's owner in Lake Orion, where the man said he had left his wallet, another deputy patted the man down and found a 1-ounce bag of marijuana in his right front pants pocket, according to the report.
