Orion Township Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 7-Year-Old Girl

If convicted, alleged assailant will face a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 25 years and lifetime monitoring.

An Orion Township man has been arraigned on a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge stemming from an allegation that he sexually molested a 7-year-old girl.

Matthew Ryan McBee, 35, was arraigned before Judge Julie Nicholson in 52-3 District Court in Rochester Hills, the Detroit Free Press reports. Nicholson set bond at $500,000.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office was reportedly notified of the alleged assault on Thursday. McBee reportedly showed pornographic materials to the girl and then assaulted her in an Orion Township home. The two were alone in the home at the time of the incident. CBS Detroit reports McBee was the live-in boyfriend of the girl's mother.
